Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Higher Ground, with the Rev. Steve Jacks officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Cemetery.
A native of Fort Mill, Mr. Totherow was a son of the late Henry William and Oliva Ashley Totherow. James loved to hunt and fish. He was retired from Charlotte Block and Tile.
Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Agnes V. Totherow; two daughters, Donna Sue Howard and Janet Clarke; three stepdaughters, Carol Thody, Rose DeBus and Ginger Martin; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at Higher Ground.
