Funeral services for Earle Cranston Shaw, 65, of 840 S. Orange St., Turlock, CA who died here Thursday morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. Lois Putney of Norwood, will be at the Presbyterian Church in Stronghurst. Entombment will be in the mausoleum there. Arrangements are by the Endsley & Son Funeral Home, 1417 S. Stanley St, Peoria. (From the Peoria Journal Star, June, 1962).
The only son of Thomas John and Ellen Valeria Peck Shaw, Earle never married. He farmed near Roseville for most of his life. At the time of his death, he was making his home with his sister Flo in California, but was visiting at the home of his sister Lois in Norwood, Peoria County, IL. Earle rests in the Hope Abbey Mausoleum at Stronghurst Cemetery in Henderson County, IL.
