Mr. Gene Odom, 82, of Greens Cut Community near Waynesboro, devoted son of the late George Dewey and Marie Lee Odom of Millhaven in Screven County entered into rest Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005 at the Medical College of Georgia, following an extended illness of six years.
Mr. Odom was an active and faithful member, as long as his health permitted, of the Greens Cut United Methodist Church. He was a marine veteran of WWII and until his retirement the owner of Odom's T.V. Repair Service. Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years, Bobbie Nell Hayes Odom; three brothers, Jack Odom, Charles Von Odom and Emerson Odom all of North Augusta, S.C. He will be remembered as a special "Unk" to all three generations of nieces and nephews.
