Sarah I., daughter of Jacob and Margaret Ingram, was born in Edgar County, Ill., June 6, 1850.
When quite young, she gave her life to Christ and lived a true Christian life.
Twenty-eight years ago she was united in marriage to Levi Hadley, there being three children in the home by a former marriage. John, deceased, Mrs. John McCrea of New Richmond, Ind., and Charley at home.
She was a kind and devoted mother until stricken with paralysis Wednesday, March 17, her son finding her unconscious. Everything that loving hands could do was done, but she passed away from life's cares at her home near Rockville.
She was a member of the Friends church at Ridgefarm, where she lived for a number of years, later moving her membership to Bloomingdale.
She was an honorary member of the Royal Neighbors.
A brother Sylvester Ingram, and sister, Mrs. Caroline Austin, of Dana, a large number of relatives, friends and neighbors with the husband and children are left to mourn their loss.
