LINDSAY- Walter Albracht, 78, of Lindsay, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 1991 at Lincoln General Hospital in Lincoln.

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Lindsay with the Rev. Jim Kramper officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Family Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-9 p.m. Sunday and Monday from 9 a.m. until service time at the Holy Family Church. There is a wake service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Mr. Albracht was born Nov. 1, 1913, in Lindsay to John and Anna (Schaecher) Albracht. He attended St. Bernard schools and married Delores Bierman Jun. 20, 1940 at St. Bernard Catholic Church.

He farmed in the Lindsay area and sold feed and seed. He was a fourth-degree knight in the Knights of Columbus and was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and was on the Holy Family Cemetery Board.

Survivors include his wife of Lindsay; seven sons, James of Grand Island, Ronald of Madison, John and Joseph of Columbus, Eugene of Newman Grove, and Gerald and David of Lindsay; a daughter, Mary Hemmer of Humphrey; three sisters, Marie Zuehlke of St. Paul, Minn., Margaret Pfeifer of Lindsay and Elvera Hill of Council Bluffs, Iowa; a brother, Edmund of Omaha; and 24 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
