ANNIE NOON SMITH

Annie Noon Smith, 84, one of Pleasantville's oldest residents, died February 24, 1955, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. George Miller, of Pleasantville.

She is a daughter of William and Amanda (Thomas) Noon, born August 13, 1870, near Wilmore, Cambria County.

Her husband Isaiah died in 1941.

Surviving are these children: Mrs. Norman Miller of Johnstown, Mrs. W. Scott McCoy of Shippensburg, James I. Smith of Altoona, Mrs. Albert Anderson, New Paris, Rt 1, Dorsey Smith of Carlisle, Mrs. Reuben Callahan of Windber, Mrs. George Miller as well as 19 grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren. Three brothers and one sister: Benjamin E. Noon, Mrs. Walter Kauffman, William Noon and Carl Noon, all of Johnstown, and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Murphy of Trenton, N.J., also survives.

She was a member of Holsinger Church of the Brethren.

Funeral services Sunday, February 27, 2:30 p.m. at Geisel Funeral Home, Pleasantville. Rev E.E. Ebersole officiating with interment in Fishertown cemetery. Friends will be received after noon Friday.
