Will of Louisa's grandmother, she appoints Stewart ward as executor of her will.

Lucy Adams' will was recorded in New Will Book 1 (NWB1), pg. 158 of the Butler Co., OH archives found in Hamilton, OH. The recording date was July 25, 1855. Note that the will was written in 1850, but Lucy didn't pass away until late 1854.
"I, Lucy Adams, being old and infirm in body, but of sound mind, for which I desire to be thankful to God, in anticipation of my approaching disolution, which I have reason to believe is not very far distant, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament _ 1st _ I desire that my funeral expenses be paid out of any money that may be on hand at my decease, and also my other debts if there be any. _ 2nd_ I give and bequeath to Lot Smith, my grandson, my interest in the Venice Bridge, being one share of stock in the said Venice Bridge Company. _ 3rd_ All the residue of my estate after the just claims against the same are paid, I give and bequeath to my Grand Daughter Louisa Ward, and her husband Stewart Ward. _ I deem it unnecessary that Letters Testamentary should issue, but should it become necessary that such Letters should issue, then I nominate and appoint Stewart Ward, Executor of this my last Will and Testament. _ In Testimony, whereof ?? here, unto set my hand this twenty third day of October, one thousand eight hundred and fifty. - Lucy Adams

Probate Court, within and for the County of Butler and State of Ohio. --
Be it remembered that the Probate Court of the County of Butler aforesaid, holden at Hamilton in the said County of Butler on the 25th day of July one thousand eight hundred and fifty five, before the Honorable Thomas H. Wilkins, Judge of said Court of Probate the within or before written Last Will and Testament of Lucy Adams who is now deceased being presented for Probate by Stewart Ward the Executor therein named. And Daniel Ross and David Wing the subscribing Witnesses to the said Last Will and Testament, appearing in their proper person in said Court and being duly sworn severally depose and say, and each of them, for himself deposeth and saith, that in his and their presence,the Said Lucy Adams the Testator, subscribed, acknowledged, and declared the within or before writing as and for her Last Will and Testament, and that at the time of the said signing and acknowledging, the said Testator was of sound and disposing Mind, Memory, and Judgment, over twenty one years of age, and under no restraint as they verily believe. _ And that at the request and in the presence of the said Testator, they the said Daniel Ross, and David Wing subscribed their names as Witnesses to the Last Will and Testament. _

An Executor's Bond (found in Estate packet) was issued to Stewart Ward, Daniel Ross and Philip Berry in the amount of $150.00 on July 25, 1855. It stated that the Lucy Adam's last Will and Testament was presented and proved in Court on that date and that Stewart Ward has been "bounden" as her Executor. It stated that Stewart Ward must (First) make and return to the Court "within 3 months, a true inventory of all moneys, goods, chattels, rights and credits of the testator, which are by law to be administered, and which shall have come to his possession or knowledge, and also, if required by the Court, an inventory of the Real Estate of the deceased. Secondly: Shall administer according to the law, and to the will of the said testament, all her goods, chattels, rights and credits, and the proceeds of all her Real Estate, that may be sold for the payment of her debts or legatees, which shall at any time come to the possession of the said executor, or to the possession of any other person for him, and Thirdly: Shall render, upon oath, a just and true account of his administration, within eighteen months, and at any other time when required by the Court or the law; Then this obligation to be void and of none effect, otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue in the law." Signed by John L. Wilkins, Stewart Ward, Daniel Ross Jr., and Philip Berry.

Final "Amount of Property" filed at $75.00. Appraisers were Walter Corrington, Amos Bess???, and Elijah Vanness

son of Nathaniel Adams and Thankful Chadwick, he and Lucy Cobb were married on 14 NOV 1781 in Sandwich, Barnstable County, Massachuttes
Heman and Lucy had four children and two lived. Their son Lot Adams stayed in Massachuttes Lot married and had children, he had a daughter named Fear Adams.

There is no headstone for Lucy, her burial place is listed in Heman's records
