Mrs. Ella Chandler Buried; Rites Held in Wells Church
Funeral services for Mrs. Lou Ella Chandler, 83, were to be held at 3:30 p.m. today at the Wells Baptist church. Internment was to follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Chandler, who died Thursday at her residence in Wells after a brief illness, was born March 29, 1866 in Texas. She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ.
Her survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Edna Hodges and Mrs. Liza Pounds, both of Wells; on ebrother, W.S. Pounds, Wells; one sister, Ida Chandler, Wells; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Oakley-Metcalf funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
