His business was destroyed in the fire of 1872 and for the past thirty-seven years, he was with the firm Blodgett, Ordway, & Webber, being their oldest salesman.
He married Ellen Ide on December 8, 1853 in Claremont, NH who preceded him in death.
He is survived by children Agnes, Evelina, and Elizabeth.
Burial is in Union cemetery in Claremont, NH.
