Alvin J. "Jack" Benisch, 54, Sun Prairie died unexpectedly Thursday night at his home.

He was an employee of Farmers' Mutual Insurance Co., Madison. He had lived in the City of Sun Prairie the past seven years, and formerly farmed in the Town of Bristol. He was a member of Sacred Hearts Catholic Church here, and its Holy Name Society.

Mr. Benisch is survived by his wife, the former Hattie Warmuth of the Town of Bristol, at home; two sons, Herbert in the Air Force at Bedford, MA and Arthur, at home; two daughters Mrs. Wilbur David Jr. of Madison, and Ruth Benisch, at home; one stepson, Eugene Warmuth of Marshall; his father, Rudolph Benisch of Sun Prairie, three sisters, Mrs. Peter Gross and Mrs. Philip Lessner, both of Sun Prairie, and Mrs. George Renz of Cottage Grove; one brother Oscar of Sun Prairie, and six grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Tuschen Funeral Home here from 7 p.m. Saturday until time of services. The rosary will be recited there Sunday night at 8. Funeral rites will be held Monday at 9 a.m. in the funeral home, and at 9:30 in Sacred Hearts Church. The Rev. H. A. Walkirch will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
