Born April 10, 1918, in Clinton County, she was the daughter of George E. and Grace M. Wratten Plummer. She was a 1936 graduate of Scircleville High School.
On July 5, 1974, she married Murrell W. McClure, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 1977.
Mrs. McClure was a licensed beautician and worked from her home in Michigantown for 40 years.
She was a member of the New Life Assembly of God and Order of the Eastern Star, where she was worthy matron.
Surviving are three daughters, Selma Merrill Ridenour (husband: Reldo) of Frankfort, Nancy Merrill Fisher (husband: Don) of Crawfordsville and Jane Merrill Crum of Geetingsville.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Monica Power, Ty (Lou Ann) Ridenour, Jamie (Todd) Barton, Danny (Lisa) Fisher, Stacy (Mike) Burdine, Ronda (Mark) Mattingly, Neil Crum, Rita (Ed) Alenduff and Ned Crum; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 grandson, Bret Ridenour; and 1 great-grandson Daniel Fisher.
