OWEN STANLEY ARNOS, 97, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Kingston Care Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Mont-ville, Ohio, Owen worked as a welder with Tokheim Corp. for 40 years, retiring in 1976, and also a part-time farmer from 1944 to 1976. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ for over 75 years; The Sol D Bayless Masonic Lodge 359, Mizpah Shrine and their transportation unit; a 46-year member of the Fort Wayne Chapter of the O. E. S.; and past Worthy Patron for the years 1970, 1982, 1985 and 1991. Surviving are his daughter, Janice (Jack) Koenig of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Julie (David) Koenig Loignon of Louisville, Ky., Jenny (Brian) Morrison of St. Louis, Mo., Jeffrey (Lissa) Koenig, Dennis Arnos, Catherine Arnos and Daniel Arnos, all of Fort Wayne; six great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Marguerite; children, Judith Mae, Duane Charles, Marcia Jean and Darryl Frederick Arnos; a grandson, Joel William Koenig; parents, John F. and Martha Marie Arnos; sisters, Alice Hopper, Mary McEntaffer and Myrtle Arnos; and brothers, Russell and Howard Arnos. Service is 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at Salem United Church of Christ, 2401 Lake Avenue, with calling one hour prior at the church. Rev Norman Conklin officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with a Twilight OES service at 7:30 p.m. and a Masonic service immediately following. Burial in Old Concordia Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Salem United Church of Christ or Shriner's Hospitals for Children.
