Verla Smith Myers, 78, passed away Sept. 22, 1993 at her home in SLC after a long illness.
Born April 25, 1915 in Hooper, Utah to Henry Stringham and Ellen Nancy Higley. Verla graduated from Davis High School. Married Kenneth C. Smith, later divorced. Married Lee Myers August 8, 1962 and lived in Bountiful and the Salt Lake area.
Verla taught Primary for many years in West Bountiful and was devoted to her family and children.
Survived by husband, Lee Myers, two daughters; Mrs. Colette (LaMar) Stringham, and Sondra Ertmann; son, Howard C. (Jolene) Smith; stepchildren, Corenn Kidrick, and Marie Corey; 19 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a daughter, Dixie Smith and stepdaughter, Linda Myers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 25, 1993 at 11 a.m. at the Salt Lake Wilford Stake Center, 3080 So. 1765 East. Friends may call at the ward one hour prior to services.
Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
