Frederick Byers was the son of Phillip Wayne Beyers and Magdalene Goshorn. In 1860 the census reported him as a literate farmer working his property in Heltonville, Lawrence Co., Indiana.
Frederick first married Sarah "Sally" A Morris on 12 Feb 1821 in Washington Co., PA and they had 3 children before they divorced about 1830. Sarah was born during 1803 in Virginia.
On 12 Aug 1831 in Washington Co., PA Frederick married Sidney/Sybil Ames and they had several children they named: Jabius, Nathan, Lavina, Henry Lowery and George W Byers.
After Sidney died in 1873 Frederick married for the third time to Emily Donahoe. They were married on 31 March 1875 and did not have any children.
