Born July 26, 1916, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Lottie E. (Schott) Ernst.
Elizabeth was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover. She was a life member of Grangeville Fire Company and the York County Blind Center.
Elizabeth was the loving wife of Mark E. Berkheimer, who died April 22, 1969, and is survived by one brother, Robert Ernst of Hanover; and one sister, Margaret Farley of Hanover.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, George Ernst, John Ernst, and Joseph Ernst; and four sisters, Lillian Ernst, Lydia Smith, Mary Sipe, and Helen Ernst.
Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
