Marshal Carl Cook, 55, died Wednesday at his home in Widener's Valley, near Damascus.

Funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the Pleasant View Church in Widener's Valley, with the Rev. Byrum Sturgill, the Rev. Clayton Widener and the Rev. Blaine Eggers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ruth Cook; six sons, Robert Cook and Herbert Cook, both of Glade Spring, Charlie Cook and Ernest Cook, both of Damascus, Vernon Cook of Bristol and Clayton Cook of Chicago, Ill.; four daughters, Misses Mary Cook and Eleanor Cook and Mrs. Wade Dolinger, all of Glade Spring, and Mrs. Z. R. Heath of Meadowview; two brothers, J. Doug Cook of Glade Spring and W. H. Cook of New Freedom, Penna.; five sisters, Mrs. Carrie Blevins, Mrs. T. I. DeBusk and Mrs. Monroe Widener, all of Glade Spring, Mrs. R. R. Finley of Meadowview and Mrs. W. M. Bishop of Princeton, W.Va., and 11 grandchildren.

Wright Funeral Home in Damascus was in charge of arrangements.
