Alice Jenkins married Walter Reid on 12 June 1933 in Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1949.

In June of 1952, she married Lee M. Carter. She came to Graham in 1947 from Chicago. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church.

Survived by her husband; one son; one step-son; four step-daughters; one sister; three grandchildren.
