Francis Frank Brown of 1015 Haynes Avenue, Centerville, passed away Wednesday in Ames, Iowa, at the age of 95 years, 6 months and 19 days. He was born in Davis County, Iowa, June 28, 1872, the son of Alfred and Hannah Salter Brown.
He was married to Minnie Garrett on May 7, 1899, in Centerville and she preceded him in death May 13, 1961. Also preceding him in death was a son Lorel Brown .
The following children survive: Mrs. Merle Cole, East Chicago, Ind.; Mrs. Pearl Litchfield of Ames; Mrs. Maxine Clouser of Ames; Walter L. Brown of Mt. Claire, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Mr. Brown was a retired coal miner and city employee.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 pm from the Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Kermit Gladfelder officiating and burial in the Oakland Cemetery.
