Funeral services for Alfred Glenn Dosher, Sr., age 71 of Seminole, Texas will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the MS Doss Community Chapel with Rev. David Henning officiating. Burial will follow in Gaines County Cemetery (south). All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mr. Dosher passed away Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Memorial Health Care Center in Seminole following a lengthy illness. He was born December 7, 1938 in Farwell, Texas to Willie Inez (Rundell) and Marion Rufus Dosher. He married Melva Joyce Burns on January 21, 1957 in Clovis, New Mexico.
Mr. Dosher served his country as a sailor in the U.S. Navy. He had been a Seminole resident for thirteen years, moving from Hobbs, New Mexico. He was a Baptist, and worked as a farmer.
Alfred Dosher is preceded in death by his wife, Melva in 2001; and by one son, Michael Dosher in 2006.
He is survived by 5 Sons, Terry Dosher & wife Dianna of Roswell, New Mexico; Gary Dosher of Seminole, Texas Cary Dosher & wife Ray An of Muleshoe, Texas; Bobby Dosher & wife Stephanie of Seminole, Texas; Alfred Dosher, Jr. & wife Misty of Hobbs, New Mexico; 1 Daughter, Melissa Wimer & husband Kerry of Seminole, Texas; 2 Brothers, Lynn Dosher of Fruita, Colorado; Dickie Dosher of Brownwood, Texas; 3 Sisters, Glenda Carpenter of Clovis, New Mexico; Melba Walsh of Lakeland, Florida; Jodie Schmidt of Dalhart, Texas; 14 Grandchildren and 26 Great-grandchildren.
