The funeral of Mrs. Emery Carver, last Friday, was largely attended. She was born and raised in this immediate vicinity and was well and favorably known here. Rev. Wines conducted tbe service at the Mt. Zion church at 10 a. m., after which many sorrowing friends followed her remains to their last resting place in the Brumfiel cemetery, where she requested that she be laid. She was 25 years of age, and leaves a husband, father, mother and three brothers to mourn tbe departure of their gentle loving Effie, so dear to them all.
