Mrs. Emma Smith, of McGillstown died after an illness of four days. Mrs. Smith was born 70 years ago, a daughter of Isaac and Sarah Light, in North Lebanon Township. She was married to Philip Smith on Sept. 1, 1881. The survivors are one daughter, Agnes Gertrude, at home, and five stepchildren, Amanda Wengert, Morris Smith and Albert Smith, of this city; Ellen Anspach, of Palmyra, and Catharine Smith, of Philadelphia. A sister, Mrs. Malinda Kohl, of Lebanon, two brothers, Jno. Light, of Union, and Reuben Light, of North Lebanon, also survive. [Evening Report, Lebanon County, Pa., Wednesday April 30, 1913, page 3]
