25 May 1908: Mrs. Reteisa Bamberger, widow of the late John E. Bamberger, died this morning at 10:30 o'clock from paralysis, following an illness of eight weeks at the Bamberger homestead in South Lebanon Township in her 68th year. Her husband who was engaged for many years in farming, died seven years ago and following his death she with the aid of some of the children devoted her entire time to the management of the farm. Eleven children survive as follows: Alvin H., Alexander S., Emma R. and Catherine L., who reside at home; Dr. F. K. Bamberger and Miss Amelia H. Bamberger, a trained nurse, of this city; Adam H., John J., and Hiram L. Bamberger, Mrs. Mary L. Laudermilch and Mrs. Irene S. Brandt, all of this county. Deceased was well known and highly esteemed. She was a member of the Reformed congregation worshipping at Kimmerling's church. [Lebanon Semi-Weekly News]
