Mrs. Chapman died Friday, March 26, 2010, at a Norman hospital. She was born March 11, 1937, to Henry Franklin and Ila Love Hottel Childs. She attended school at Corley and graduated from Stratford High School. Mrs. Chapman retired as an accounts manager for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and was a member of Northeast Baptist Church.
She was married to Dave Chapman. He died in 1986.
Survivors include two brothers, Frank Childs, Bayview, Texas, and Dan Childs and wife, Junita, Mannsville; one sister, Emma Heard and husband, Larry, Roff; three nieces; seven nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Joyce Mullican; and one brother, Lloyd Childs.
Bearers will be Jack Stengal, Don Young, Marvin Sasnett, Jacob Hanchett, Bill Cook and Bob Hunter.
