Death of Mrs. T. Wimans Ellis.
Mrs. T. Wimans Ellis died at the residence of Mrs. F. R. C. Ellis Sunday night at twelve o'clock. Mrs. Ellis came here with her husband in December to attend the session of the South Georgia Conference and has been here since that time. She was taken violently ill before her husband moved to his new appointment at Wrightsville and she has steadily declined in health until death ended her suffering Sunday night. The remains were carried to her old home at Blackshear for burial and were accompanied by her husband and her sisters, Misses Gulie and Freddie Ellis, and Mrs. Ellis', sister. Mrs. Burney, who has been here for about a month. Mrs. Ellis has been in ill health for several years and her suffering through all of that time has been intense. Added to her physical affliction, the death angel has visited the home on two occasions and has carried away two precious children. These visitations of Providence have contributed to the complication of troubles that affected her death probably came as a welcome messenger to soothe earth's bitter sorrows. She leaves a devoted husband and two little children, with a large circle of friends, to lament her death. The sympathies of the people of Valdosta go out to him.
