    Edith M. (Schoeberlein) Talley Morton, 96 of Aurora passed away on Monday July 17, 2000 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora. She was born May 26, 1904 in Aurora to the late Leonard and Emily (Muschler) Schoeberlein.
    Edith attended St. Paul's Lutheran School. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Aurora. Her pleasure was crocheting afghans for her children, grandchildren and friends. She also enjoyed playing bridge and canasta. Edith was a volunteer at The Salvation Army and also taught the "Rules of the Road" classes for many years. In her later years, she resided at Meadowbrook Manor in Naperville.
    Survivors include: two sons Richard (Lela) Talley of Montgomery, Wayne (Shirley) Talley of Bristol, her daughter Jean Talley Strong of Aurora, eight grandchildren Garold (Jacqueline) Talley of Medina, Ohio, Gregg (Mary Ann Strzalka) Talley of Chicago, Randall (Gayle) Talley of Rockford, Jeffrey (Priscilla) Talley of Aurora, Sandra Marcum of Bristol, Robyn (Michael) Luke of Springfield, IL, Rick Strong of Aurora, Kristi Baker of Naperville, 17 great grandchildren, Elissa McCullough of Waldorf, Maryland, Christine Talley of New Orleans, Louisiana, Chad Talley of Medina, Ohio, Laura Talley of Chicago, Paul, Andrew, Daniel and Peter Talley all of Rockford, Adam, Mark, and Amanda Talley all of Aurora, Benjamin and Dustin Marcum both of Bristol, Whitney and Stephanie Luke both of Springfield, IL, Erin and Ashley Strong both of Aurora, three sisters-in-law Mae and Freda Schoeberlein and Marge Huwe all of Aurora, several nieces and nephews.
    Besides her parents, Edith was preceded in death by: her husband William Morton in 1958, six brothers Allan, Paul, Henry, Elmer, Harold, and George Schoeberlein, two sisters Lora Thurow, and Clara Boehm, a grandson Mark A. Talley, and a son-in-law Robert Strong.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday July 19 at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Rev. Timothy H. Swanson and Rev. Gerald L. Rygh will officiate. Interment will take place in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Montgomery. Visitation will be from 3-8pm on Tuesday July 18 at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl. Aurora.
