Zenith Barbara Mobley, 80, passed away Thursday March 25, 2010, at University General Hospital in Houston. She was born on December 12, 1929, in Port Bolivar, Texas, to parents Neal Blume and Natlee (Lipscomb) Blume. Zenith was a loving mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister and friend. She was known by many for the special one-of-a-kind baby blankets she made and her good cooking. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Zenith is survived by her children James Robert Guidry, Evelyn McCagg, Arthur Guidry, William Guidry and Georgia Guidry. She had eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; and sister Carol Shaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Virgil, Jack, Neal, Jr. (K.O.), Jim and Hot Shot Blume; sisters Mildred Creel and Evelyn Criss; daughter Barbara Ann Standley and her beloved husband Willard C. Mobley.

A service to celebrate Zenith's life will be held at the Port Bolivar Methodist Church on Monday March 29, 2010, at 10 a.m., with Reverend Mary Boddie officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow at the Port Bolivar Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Arthur Guidry, Bert Guidry, Blake Guidry, Jackie Blume, John Dafonte and Nathan Hughes. Honorary pallbearers will be Holden Sievers and Mitchell LeBaron.

The family would like to express their special thanks to the A-Med Community Hospice for their loving care.
