He was born December 16, 1917, the sixth child of Robert L. and Anna Margaret (Eckhardt) Buddrius, who were pioneer farmers in the area. He was motherless at age 2, the result of the great flu epidemic of 1919. He married his high school sweetheart, LuVerna Weishaar December 18, 1938 at the Weishaar family home. They farmed in Harrington and Davenport until 1961, moved to Everett and then returned to Odessa in retirement in 1980.
He is survived by his wife; a son and his wife, DeWane and Carol; daughter, Lonna and her husband, John Taylor of Lake Stevens, Washington; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard of Leavenworth, Sam of Lady Lake, Florida and Victor of Blanchard, Idaho, sister, Gertrude Kiehn of Dryden and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Arthur and three sisters, Mildred Bischoff, Adaline Bohnet and Maxine Gaffney.
Interment was a Hillcrest Cemetery in Harrington, Washington. Memorials are suggested to the charity of one's choice.

He married LaVerna A. Weishaar 18 December 1938 Odessa, Lincoln County, Washington.
