FABER – Mrs. Nellie Virginia, 58, of Route 1, died Tuesday afternoon (Dec. 28, 1982) in Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Nelson County on April 20, 1914, a daughter of the late Walter P. and Susan Thompson Puckett.
She was a member of Rockfish Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Marion Sherwood Martin; three sons, William Ray Marshall of Baltimore, Md., Harry S. Marshall of Charlottesville, and Kenneth D. Marshall of McGaheysville; one daughter, Mrs. Rachael M. Campbell of Stuarts Draft; two sisters, Mrs. Clora Truslow and Mrs. Melinda Truslow, both of Wintergreen; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Rockfish Valley Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Stanley Shirk and the Rev. Roy Kister, with interment in Wintergreen Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be William R. Marshall Jr., Harry Jeffrey Marshall, Robin Dean Marshall, Martin David Knight, Gaines Jackson, Joe Lawhorne, Gale Thompson and Bob Hudlow.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Truslow, Bill Carter, Jim Crissman, Chesley Puckett, Geoffery Truslow, Ed Brogan, Forest Bryant Jr., Forest Bryant Sr. and Dr. William Toomy.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight in Etter Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

Note: Nellie Virginia Puckett was the daughter of Walter Puckett and Susan Thompson Puckett. She was first married to Harry Marshall and after he died she married Malcolm T. Thompson and when he died she married Sherwood Martin.
