The First Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville, the oldest Presbyterian church in the county, was organized February 10, 1824... Rev. Samuel J. McCullough, who served as pastor 1842 to 1847, and for thirty years a minister of the Gospel, was born in Dickinson, Cumberland county, Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania; was deeply learned in theology, and was a sincere and devoted man in his profession. He died at Tioga, December 19, 1867, aged fifty-eight years, and lies buried in the cemetery at Lindley, New York. [History of Tioga County Pennsylvania, R. C.
