Funeral services for A. M. "Boots" Deskins, 74, were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 1984 in the Brown-Binyon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Delos Welsh, pastor of the Epworth Methodist Church officiating.
Mr. Deskins was born June 2, 1909 at Springer, Oklahoma and passed away Thursday, February 9, 1984 at Eventide Care Center after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Deskins grew up in the Amber Community and attended the Amber Schools. He was a Rancher and Stockman in that community where he retired in 1975. He was a member of the Epworth Methodist Church of Chickasha.
He and Lola Martin were married on November 12, 1932 at Chickasha.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Wesley and Minnie Lee Deskins, and one sister Jewell Denton.
He is survived by; his wife Lola of the home, 1 son James Wesley of Denton, Texas, 1 aunt Eva Eubanks of Ringling, Oklahoma, 1 niece Marie Bowen of Arlington, Texas and many friends and relatives. Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Brown-Binyon Funeral Home.
