Nellie Jane Asbury, long time resident of Weleetka, Oklahoma, died March 23, 2010 at Henryetta, Oklahoma at the age of 99 years, 5 months and 5 days. Nellie was born in Dustin, Oklahoma on October 18, 1910 to Emma Jesse and Logan Watts and attended Dustin public schools. She was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Jimmie Asbury who along with Nellie ministered to the members and congregation of the Alabama Indian Church until his death. Also preceding her in death were four babies; Mildred, Riley, George, and Roman who died in infancy, two sons; Frank Asbury and Howard Asbury, a daughter Patsy Pike Veruchi, two brothers; Willy Watts, and Raymond Watts, and one sister Ethyl Demoss.
