Funeral of Erastus H Smith was conducted from the Methodist church in Battle Ground yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock and was largely attended, many coming from a distance to show their respect. There were many beautiful floral offerings. Rev W. B. Warriner was assisted by Dr George W Switzer, who paid a splendid tribute to the exemplary character and useful life of the deceased. The interment was made in the Battle Ground Cemetery and was under the auspices of the Masonic fraternity.
