First wife was Martha Moore (1826-1845)of James Land Hite who was a Civil War soldier, died from thphoid fever near near a battlefield Richmond, VA on August 15, 1864.
2nd wife of James Land Hite was Martha's sister Mary Jane Moore . They were married in 1847 & both died in 1864 .
