Elmer Scott Hill, 61, a retired employee of Bob Parker Wrecker Service, who lived on the Old Denmark Road, died Tuesday at 10:20 P.M. in the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after an illness of ten days.

Funeral services will be Friday at 3 P.M. from the Westover Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Drake of Paris and Rev. Robert Brown, pastor of Westover Baptist Church, officiating. Burial, with Smith Funeral Home in charge, will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Hill was born and reared in Gibson County, son of the late John H. and Alice Haley Hill, and made his home in Madison County since 1918.

He was a member of the Westover Baptist Church and of the Men's Bible Class.

He was married August 10, 1929 to the former Ester Mansfield who survives him.

Other survivors include three sons, Jerry Hill of Memphis, Ralph Hill of 45 Webber Street and Clifton Hill of the Old Denmark Road; two brothers, J.B. Hill of Memphis and Horace Hill of Jackson; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Mansfield of Beech Bluff, and five grandchildren.

Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

The following nephews will serve as pallbearers, Robert Hill, Avner Hill, Verlon Hill, Melvin Collins, J.W. Collins, Don Mansfield, Durward Mansfield, and Jimmy Mansfield.
