San Angelo - Sammie Redwine Cook, 66, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, at a San Angelo nursing facility. Graveside services will be 10 AM Friday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home. The Rev. Jimmy Griffith will officiate.
Mrs. Cook was born Nov. 10, 1934 in Abilene, Texas. She married Bobby Cook January 16, 1981, in San Angelo, Texas.
Mrs. Cook worked at the Lighthouse for the Blind in the 1970's and 80's and MHMR in the 1980's. She was a Methodist and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, of San Angelo; an uncle, Ralph Russell of Clyde; and two aunts, Dorothy Russell and Anna Mae Russell, both of Merkel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Thomas and Mary Doris Redwine.
