Mrs. Eliza Cameron Russell, 81 years of age, widow of the late W W Russell, died Monday morning, July 17, at her home in Caldwell County, near the city. Death was due to complications. Mrs. Russell had been critically ill only a few days.
Born and reared in Trigg County, Mrs. Russell had lived in the Piney Grove community of Caldwell County for the past nineteen years. She is survived by five sons and two daughters: Luther, Willie and Leslie Russell, of this community; Jesse Russell, Cadiz, Ky.; Alvin Russell, of Kansas; Miss Susie Russell and Mrs. Chas. Hicks, Caldwell County; two brothers, A W Cameron, Wallonia, Ky; Lee Cameron, Madisonville, Ky., and a sister, Mrs. Nannie Barnes, Gracey, Ky. Her husband and one daughter, Miss Mary Russell, were burned to death in April, 1930, when their farm home was destroyed by fire.
Funeral services were conducted at Mt. Zion Church, near Cadiz, Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock, by Rev. C F Allen. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
