He was born September 17, 1905 in the town of Almon, the son of the late William and Anna (Wickman) Leiskau.
On December 28, 1932 Arthur was united in marriage to Gladys Miller in Shawano. She survives.
In addition to his wife, Arthur is survived by one son, Dennis "Tom" (Sharon) Leiskau, Wittenberg; four daughters, Patricia (Nino) Fonte, Berwyn, IA, Nancy (Dick) Rasmussen, Antigo, Judy (Herman) Kunst, Reidsville, NC and Joann (Terry) Innerebner, Wittenberg; one sister, Amelia Treptow, Wittenberg; one foster son, Orville Jensen, Pine River; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Edward and Walter Leiskau, three sisters, Alma Thiex, Clara Dahl and Louise Long and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held September 18, 1989 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Bowler. The Rev. Jimalee Jones officiated. Interment was in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Birnamwood, town of Almon.
