Margaret Moore Robinson, age 82, began her new life with the Lord on September 14, 2009. When a loved one dies, there is great yearning on the part of those who loved her to define her life in such a way that others will know how important she was and what a difference her life made in the lives of so many.

Margaret was a gentle woman whose life brought a gentle touch to all the fortunate people who had the privilege of crossing her path. Her love for her family defined the most precious part of her life. She considered her children the source of her greatest joy, and her pride in them knew no bounds. Her children marveled at her unique combination of great tenderness and compassion and her strong work ethic and determination to make a difference in the world by the way she lived her life. But most of all, they felt her love in a way that added joy to every day of their lives. They all knew that they were the lucky ones because they got one of the greatest gifts the world has ever known, the unconditional love of a remarkable mother.

Margaret had a lifelong commitment to her Southern Baptist heritage and was a member of the church for over 50 years. She sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. But her life was not about church membership; it was about a visible faith and a life that never stopped giving. She lived life fully, saw its beauty and lovingly embraced the people who crossed her path. She found good in everyone and never criticized or found fault with another. She was a woman whose life was defined by the love she gave and the difference she made in the lives of those who knew her.

Margaret was employed for 32 years by Our-Way, Inc. in Tucker, Georgia. Dr. Bobbie Bailey, President, and Margaret's sister, says she handled customer service for their largest contract and did an outstanding job. Dr. Bailey says Margaret was greatly loved by her customers and had the highest respect of her associates. She was a member of American Business Women's Association and the Gate City Charter Chapter in Decatur, Georgia. She served as President for several years and was voted Woman of the Year in 1986.

Margaret was born in 1926, in Wedowee, Alabama, to Mary Proctor Bailey and Elbert Leon Bailey, the second of eight children.

Her family includes her husband of 41 years, John Fain Robinson, Jr. Her first husband, Lonnie Odell Moore, preceded her in death and was the father of her five children. Her children and their spouses are: Ronald and Ellen Moore, The Villages, FL, Deborah and Sonny Russell, Athens, TN., Roger and Sherry Moore, Harrison, AR, Darrell and Sharon Moore, Marietta, GA, and Arlene and Timothy Dove, Suwanee, GA; step daughters, Suzanne and Tommy Mills of Lake Wales, FL, Cindy Robinson of Chatsworth, GA. Margaret has 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses: Dr. Bobbie Bailey, Audrey and Jack Morgan, Floyd and Ellen Bailey, Ann and Daniel Piper, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, September 17 at 1pm at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Rev. Thomas L. Jordan officiating. Interment will be held at Peachtree Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8pm, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in Margaret's memory to the Alzheimer's Association . Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.wagesfuneralhome.comm. Tom M.
