Donald Curtis Miller of Shoreline, age 88, passed away June 15, 2002 at Lynnwood Manor, more than four years after a major stroke in Oct. 1997. He was born Feb. 26, 1914 in Whitefish, Montana. He attended school in Ferndale, WA.
He has been the beloved husband, for 52 years, of his wife Edith at the family home. Survivors include their daughter Rosemary Gwaltney and husband Dale of Careywood, ID and son Raymond Miller of Seattle. Also by 16 grandchildren whom he cherished.
During WWII he served overseas with the US Air Force. Donald was a printer, having managed print shops in Alberta, Canada, Seattle and Renton, where he retired from Pacific Car and Foundry. He was a gifted designer of machinery, always looking for and often finding solutions for engineering problems.
