The Rev. Franklin McLelland officiated. Burial followed in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mr. McLelland, 81, died Friday, March 19, 2010, at Mississippi State Veterans Home in Jackson where he had lived for the past three years.
He was a native of Kemper County but had been a resident of Jackson for more than 40 years. Mr. McLelland was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Kate Strum McLelland; parents, Albert Brown and Essie McLelland; five brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Ken McLelland, Randy Pickett, Mark McLelland, Garron Sugar Ray Robinson Henry Jr. III, Gary Miller, Mickey Hutchens and Andy Kalinowsky.
