C. Elizabeth Marshburn
CHESAPEAKE - Catherine Elizabeth Marshburn, 87, of the 2300 block of Ardmore Ave., passed away Feb. 18, 2007, with her family by her side.
She was the daughter of the late Rev. E.B. Carr Sr. and Bessie McIntyre Carr and the wife of the late James F. Marshburn. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of South Norfolk.
Surviving are her daughter, Margaret "Pearl" Baker of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Janice McGarry and her husband Matt of Largo, Fla., William "Billy" Baker and his wife Denise of Chesapeake, Wanda Zanette and her husband Robert of Arlington, Texas and Jimbo Baker and his wife Nancy of Chesapeake; 10 great-grandchildren; and one brother, E. B. Carr Jr. of Teachey, N.C.
A funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, with Chaplain Tom Chadwick officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. and at the residence at all other times.
