Mittie was born January 5, 1910 in Greenville, Alabama and passed away February 19, 2011 in Conroe, Texas. She loved quilting and taking trips to Louisiana. She was a great cook and loved having family over for feasts. Mittie enjoyed life for 101 years and taking care of her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Charlie William Baylor; son, Charlie Franklin Baylor; daughter, Ruby Wood; and parents, Felix Monroe and Minnie Lee Acreman. Mittie is survived by her daughters, Ruth Wood, Hazel Lang, Barbara Landrum and husband Tom and Dianne Miers and husband George, all of Conroe, and Charlene Young and husband Larry of Bryan; sons, Robert Baylor of Conroe and Dennis Baylor of Willis; sister, Edna Mae Jackson of Devers; twenty-five grandchildren; fifty great grandchildren; and twenty-six great great grandchildren. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
