Beulah M. Lilves, 89, formerly of 452 Green Acre Lane, Wabash died at 10:48am Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Miller's Merry Manor East in Wabash. She was born October 1, 1920 in Wabash, Indiana to Alvin J. and Amanda (Shinn) McKillip.
Beulah was married first to Paul Dluzak, and he died in 1946. Her second marriage was to Paul T. Houlihan, and he died in 1971. She then married Ben Lilves, and he died in 1980.
Beulah was a 1938 graduate of Chippewa High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Busy Bees Home Economics Club, both of Wabash. Beulah showed the first Grand Champion Steer at the Wabash County 4-H Fair.
She is survived by her son, Jeff (Karen) Houlihan of Andrews, Indiana; son-in-law, Danny (Rita) Cook of Peru, Indiana; 6 step children, Joe (Sondra) Houlihan of Peru, Tom (Marcella) Houlihan of Wabash, Pat (Barb) Houlihan of Peru; Sarah Bertels of California, Barb Stickley of Fort Wayne, IN, Mary Prickett of Wabash; and several grandchildren & great grandchildren; sister, Jean Myers, and 2 brothers, Jack (Judy) McKillip, and Ken McKillip, all of Wabash. She was preceded in death by her daughter Nan K. (Dluzak) Cook, and her brothers Jim and Bob McKillip.
Funeral services will be held at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 188 W. Sinclair Street, Wabash on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 10:00am with Father Sextus Don officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 2-8pm Thursday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave. Wabash. Preferred memorial is St. Bernard Catholic Church.
