Inscription

IN MEMORY OF ANN CAMPBELL, wife of Alexander Campbell who departed this life Sept. 1st AD 1836 Aged 53 years 7 months and 11 days.

Mourn not for me my kindred dear,
I am not dead but silent here.
As I am now, so you must be.
Prepare for death and follow me.

Mourn not dear friends at my decease.
I hope with Christ I've made my peace:
Life is uncertain, death is sure,
Sin gives the wound and Christ the cure.

[stone has a weeping willow above the inscription]
