Jackie Lee "Jack" Kigar was born August 7, 1936, in Knox County, Mo., the son of Cordie L. and Iva Irene (Couch) Kigar, and died at his rural Edina, Mo., home Monday, June 13, 1988, at the age of 51.

On February 14, 1964, at Edina, he married Jean Durbin, who survives.

Also surviving are three children, Mrs. Terry (Karen) Tarpein, Brashear, Mo., Terry Michael Kigar, Sawyer, Kan., and Mrs. Tom (Sherry) Western, Greentop; three grandchildren, Angela Dawn Kigar, Robbie Kigar and Troy Glenn Western; and four aunts.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Larry Kigar in 1969.

Mr. Kigar was reared in the Bible Grove community where he attended school. He was engaged in farming in Knox County and was also in the trucking business. He served with the US Army from 1955 through 1957. He also served with the Army Reserve until 1963.

He was a member of Bible Grove Christian Church.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 16, 1988, in Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel, Edina, Mo. The Rev. Ronald Garner, Edina, Mo., conducted the services. Musical selections were "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden."

Burial was in Bible Grove Christian Church Cemetery.
