Sam married Ollie LeGrand on 21 March 1919. Sam's parents were Edward and Ida Scarborough.
William's siblings were Gertrude, Letha, Bert, Dewey, Edward, Ethel, Illah and Lottie Lorene.

Sam and Ollie had three children Bernice, Herman and Samuel (my father). Sam Served in the U.S. Army during World War 1, he was stationed at Camp Sheridan in Alabama during the war. Sam was a coal miner and died of a heart attack while at work in the mine.
