Shirley E. Duffie, age 91, passed away at Hope Health Care Center in Westland, MI, on March 23, 2010.
She was born August 21, 1918 in Transfer, Pennsylvania, to Clyde and Evalyn (Pollard) Lesher.
Shirley enjoyed being a school teacher until she was 79 years old. She is survived by her sons, Edward (Anna Lee) of Camden, OH, Timothy (Judy) of Fairfield, OH, Russell of Brookville, OH, and Mark of Traverse City, MI, and her daughters, Carol (Ronald) Baessler of Gary, IN, and Brenda (William) Woodworth of Belleville, MI. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 27 great- grandchildren and sister Betty (John) Jenny of New Castle, PA. And brother, Daniel (Naomi) Lesher of Grove City, Ohio.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe, and grandson Douglas Baessler.
Visitation will be held at David C. Brown Funeral Home, Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 12:00 to 2:00 with a funeral service at 2:00 PM. A procession to Hillside cemetery for a short service will immediately follow.
