Forrest M. Alexander, 84, of Sullivan, formerly of Decatur, died 8:15 a.m. Wednesday (March 9, 1994) in the Illinois Masonic Home, Sullivan. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Illinois Masonic Home Chapel with visitation one hour before services. Arrangements are by McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur.
Mr. Alexander was born July 7, 1909, in Macon County, son of Adam and Sadie Brown Alexander. He was retired from teaching in Argenta, Forsyth and Warrensburg. He was a manager of the Forsyth Lumber Co. and retired from Alexander Warehouse and I Sales, Urbana. He was a member j of the Warrensburg Masonic , Lodge, the Maroa Lions Club and the Forsyth United Methodist Church. He married Dorothy Blazer on May 5, 1933, in Woodstock.
Surviving are his wife; son, Allan and wife Sandra of Danville; ; daughter, Carol Murray and husband Ked of Peoria; brothers, . Gerald of Lakeland, Fla.; sisters, Mrs. Gladys Larson of Broken Arrow, ; Okla.; three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
