Goldie Mae Merrill, 79, 615 Armstrong St. died at 5:15 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 1978 in Tipton County Memorial Hospital. She had been ill for six months.
Born Nov. 22, 1898 in Tipton County, she was he daughter of Abraham and Phoebe (Clark) Teter. She married Paul Merrill on Oct. 8 1919. He died Oct. 7, 1965.
She attended the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Donald Merrill, and Charles Merrill both of Tipton and Myron Merrill, Indianapolis; Two daughters, Marjorie Saxton, Elwood, and Martha Nelson, Tipton, one sister Edith Davis, Tipton; 12 grandchildren, four step grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Tipton with the Rev. Lawrence Hufhand officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
Friends may call at the Mitchell funeral home , Tipton.
