William George Muzzey died on June 24, 1999 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Memorial Center in Lebanon, NH following a period of failing health. He was born on July 22, 1942 in Newport, NH; the son of Russell II and Ruth (Shepard) Muzzey.
He graduated from Newport High School in 1960 and had been a lifelong area resident.
He was employed as a machinist by Gloenco-Newport Inc for thirty years.
He was a member of the Claremont Moose Lodge No 1201 and of the Foresters of American in Newport.
He enjoyed hunting, bird watching and was an avid golfer.
He married Beverly Daniels on July 22, 1980.
He was preceded in death by brother Russell Muzzey III in 1994.
He is survived by his wife; sons David and his wife Amy of Newport, and Ryan Muzzey of Sunapee; one stepson Ronald LaRoche of Claremont; daughter Laura Ellison of Sunapee; one stepdaughter Paula and her husband Jeff Morin of Claremont; his mother and stepfather Ruth and Walter Schultz of Newport; one brother Wayne Smith of Newport; fourteen grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.
Burial is in St Mary’s Cemetery.
